The bread of the Brotmanufaktur Schmidt is by far one of the best in Munich, especially the Bauernkruste it has done to us. However, the service in Augustenstrasse is partly bad underground. Bread is usually billed by weight, which I have forgotten several times and a more expensive price was charged. After a hint no apology or similar came. As a customer, I definitely do not feel treated as a king by 2 employees, on the contrary, I am lucky if I am served ... The reason for my constant return, as already mentioned, is the good bread! Supplement, Feb, 2019: The service has improved significantly! The staff are friendly and hard-working! Shopping is fun!

nice service but pretzel was rock hard (I thought about going back) and the bread was more ok than really good.

We were there on Valentine's Day to have a coffee during a performance of the Munich Children's Theater. I chose this cafe through the google reviews. I was not disappointed. The offer for breakfast is extensive. Freshly squeezed orange juice, tea, latte, etc. In addition, muesli with fresh yoghurt, various donuts, sweet pastries, etc. There are even savory items such as a schnitzel roll. The toilet was clean and so were the dining areas. Only the temperature in the room was negative. Due to the cold season, cold air kept coming in through the sliding doors, which prevented a warm room. I don't know whether there would be a better solution for this. From me only 1 * deduction for this, otherwise 100% recommended.
